1. Development of resources

The Consortium will provide quality learning resources and associated services to meet the needs of its members. We will:

  • identify members' requirements through discussion and consultation
  • involve colleges in the work of the Consortium and encourage ownership and dissemination
  • apply a rigorous quality assurance process to all the activities of the Consortium
  • continually review developments in learning methods and technologies.

2. Implementation

The Consortium will provide support and encouragement to staff and students in innovative and applied learning approaches. We will:

  • provide staff development and CPD opportunities to support teachers to identify and implement improvements to practice
  • produce resources to promote and enable innovative teaching and learning which encourage students to take an active role.

3. Co-operation and collaboration

The Consortium will foster co-operation and collaboration between member colleges in the development and use of learning materials. We will:

  • capitalise on and acknowledge the expertise of members by encouraging involvement in planning, review and piloting of materials
  • maximise the benefits of collaboration and avoid duplication of effort
  • achieve awareness and support for the work of the Consortium from external organisations
  • be recognised as the leading organisation developing learning resources and strategies for the land-based sector.
